Performed July 19th, 2015, at the Hyde Playground and September 18th and 19th, 2015, at the Newton North High School Little Theater This production, as NTC's first adaptation from the Junie B. Jones series, was the beginning of a long-running tradition for the company. With innovative music and design elements and a cast made up of both parents and kids, this show was truly able to encapsulate the eclectic joy that is Junie B. Jones. When everyone's favorite rambunctious kindergartener finds out that her school is going to have a carnival, she's ecstatic. Unfortunately, all the carnival game practice in the world can't prepare her for the actual event. Junie B. is confronted with rigged games, scary clowns, and suspicious cakes in shiny foil, and does her best to make the most out of a yucky situation. With parents, grandparents, baby brother, and classmates in tow, this show really does feel like a carnival.
