This winter, we're bringing you the story of the Princess and the Pea like you've never seen it before! This 1959 Broadway classic features a zany reimagining of the beloved fairytale. Featuring princesses, wizards, knights, and more, this show will transport your children back to once upon a time.

Starting this year, all NTK participants will be asked to present proof of vaccination (not counting boosters) when they register for the program. You will not be able to register your child for this session without providing this documentation. Our masking policy will be updated as we get more information and track cases closer to the beginning of the program.

Regarding COVID Protocol Shifts:

As a private organization, NTK reserves the right to adjust our COVID-19 safety protocols as we see fit. We will be sure to send updates over the course of the program if there are ever changes to our protocols. As the pandemic landscape continues to shift, we remain committed to operating a safe, supportive, and inclusive program.

We want theatre to be accessible to everyone.

What is Newton Theatre Kids?

Newton Theatre Kids is an exciting opportunity for children in grades 1-5 to explore and cultivate a love of theater. Our highly experienced staff provides a nurturing environment in which kids can feel comfortable and confident while expressing themselves through acting, singing, dancing, and scenery-making. At the end of each session, families are invited to watch their children perform a fully staged and costumed production specifically tailored to the program. Whether your child dreams of being a thespian or simply wants to try something new, Newton Theatre Kids has a place for them.

Parent and Student Testimonials
Newton Theatre Kids Online

We believe that fostering community and joy through the arts is essential for people of all ages, especially during difficult times. Since social distancing prohibited us from putting on the productions of Oklahoma! that we had planned for the spring of 2020, our incredible staff has worked tirelessly to create and deliver meaningful, theater-focused online classes to all of our interested participants. From writing monologues and studying ancient theater to learning dances and songs, our Theatre Kids showed a tremendous amount of resilience and creativity. We are so proud of them, and we remain committed to providing all the young artists in our community with an outlet for their creative energy, now and always.

Check out this video, which features the "I Am" monologues written by participants in our April Self-Scripting class.
